O-RU designed and managed the deep retrofit of this 140 year old Victorian terrace in Greater Manchester. The property was filled with period features and had remained largely untouched but for a few, unsympathetic additions over the years.
The scheme was led by a desire to bring the building to modern standards of comfort with carefully designed thermal installations, mechanical upgrades and water tightness. The interior design was developed thoughtfully in parallel, using the orientation of the home and bold, natural paints to create a deep experiential quality.
